Remembering Manchester, Michigan – 6/11

Visits from a Jehovah’s Witness get mixed reaction’s from house to house. I usually agree to talk if they’re willing to discuss an alternative religion usually leading to a polite “no thank you”.

A few years ago I heard a story where a Manchester resident was so violently aggressive toward a family of Witness’s, their two young children became inconsolably upset. Even minutes later in the sheriff’s office the children were still crying.

Hard to believe someone would expose children to a level of aggression and violence that causes such upset. I mentioned visiting the house to the next Witness that came to my door. They shared the house was listed as a “no visit” house. Even years later, the Witness’s that visit my house when I suggest visiting the family still comment they are listed on a no visit list and no Jehovah’s Witness nationally will visit them.

What’s interesting is there is no evidence of the report and Manchester doesn’t seem to care they have such a fundamentally violent family in their midst.
