The truth about neighbors

I live in a small town near Ann Arbor Michigan.

One neighbor has erected a fence but still throws trash on my side of the fence and trespasses cutting and poising plants on my property, I had to have several officers to the house till one finally upheld the law. HE breaks the law less now.

One neighbor put up a chain link fence into my property and took 42 feet of another’s property. Then he came onto my property to tell me how to do yard work after receiving a notice to quit. During mediation the lawyer/mediator repeatedly said to that neighbor, “you didn’t do that” as I described this neighbors behavior.

One neighbor mows grass so it is a straight line on the property line. I mowed the grass longer and in in wavy lines to blend the longer grass. That neighbor mowed the line straight 35 feet into my property and in front of my house till I explained the test to see how far he would go. It embarrassed him and he stops at the line now.

A neighbor in the block used to cross the yard to visit another neighbor. He left deep footprints and wagon ruts in the yard after I landscaped. If waved hi he did not. When I went out in the back yard he would turn around before the reached the property line and go around the block.

One neighbor decided he didn’t like the length of my grass and came onto the property in a zero turn mower over the 45 degree front hill and mowed leaving a mess, inconsistent length grass and grass clods all over. I was not in violation of the law and had to call police to file a trespassing complaint. From what I understand he almost ended up under arrest.

I don’t mind if people respect my property, are decent and at least are friendly when they come onto the property. If they claim to be christian but can’t exhibit minimum courtesy, I’m happy to call the police and continue to file trespassing complaints. If the county sheriff doesn’t want to uphold the law, I’m more than happy to involve the state police or file legal action.
