I repeatedly find that this information is not being openly shared with the residents of Manchester Michigan. This review that was presented to the counsel April 1. From the presentation and on review there are several missing components critical to removing the dam.
There were inaccuracies quoted that negatively affect the impact of removal and alternatives were not explored.
Every community member should have access to this report for review. There is a substantial amount of information you do not need an engineering degree to understand. Of key importance are the recovery estimates which suggest the state provide a possible million to recover private property.
Reviewing other estimates might raise the question, why are costs projected consistently increasing even though maintenance is completed?
Possibly the most important question is why is counsel keeping this information from residents and acting in such a divisive manner?
